Young scientist bursaries
The Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements was
pleased to support 15 talented young scientists so they could benefit from
attending CPEM 2004.
Eligibility requirements
The applicant had to be
- 30 years of age or under
- Working within the scope of CPEM 2004
Applicants were encouraged to submit a paper and were asked the
following questions:
- What work they are currently undertaking
- What their career aspirations are
- How attending CPEM 2004 will be of benefit
- Their current educational status
This form was
downloaded (Word 95 document, 39 KB), filled in and sent to the
conference secretariat. Applications included a
reference from their head of department and an estimate of their travel costs.
It was expected that travel to the conference will be undertaken by suitably
economical means.
Potential delegates had their application for a bursary assessed
by an appointed committee in addition to the technical committee review of
their submitted paper.
